“One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, ‘Lord, teach us to pray…’” – Luke 11:1
Have you ever wondered if you’re “doing prayer right”? You’re not alone. Even Jesus’ disciples—who walked with Him daily—asked Him to teach them how to pray. Prayer doesn’t have to be complicated, formal, or filled with the “right words.” At its core, prayer is simply talking with God.
Start small:
- Begin with a thank you (“Thank You, Lord, for this new day”).
- Share a concern (“I’m worried about my family today, please give us peace”).
- End with trust (“I give this day to You, Lord”).
Over time, prayer becomes as natural as breathing. God isn’t looking for perfection in our words—He’s looking for openness in our hearts.
Closing Prayer:
“Lord, thank You for hearing me even when I don’t know what to say. Teach me to pray with honesty and trust, and help me grow closer to You each day. Amen.”
